LEL is a fast growing, well established mechanical engineering company, specialising in the installation and commissioning of all types of mechanical equipment to the nuclear, power generation, paper manufacture, water and petro-chemical industries based in the North West of England. We have vast experience in the installation of shield doors, electric overhead cranes and mechanical handling equipment, motors, pumps, valves and associated equipment.

Installations are undertaken by our highly skilled teams of experienced personnel to exacting standards using best engineering practice. Our teams are supported by our technical department and admin staff. We have a full complement of project managers, project engineers and direct staff, including mechanical fitters, platers, riggers, electricians and commissioning personnel readily available at your disposal.

LEL have successfully completed significant projects in both the civil and nuclear defence sectors, along with international paper manufacturers and local authorities. Our in-house Quality Assurance procedures are accredited to ISO 9001 and have been deployed by our team to ensure first time delivery with a full commitment to Quality as well as adhering to the best Health and Safety practices within the workplace. Furthermore, LEL are committed to environmental standards, with firm objectives and a clear policy towards supporting changes to the way we treat our planet for future generations.

We have a fleet of service vehicles equipped with specialist equipment ready to respond to client requirements along with a modern engineering workshop facilities permitting storage, pre-build and factory acceptance testing of equipment prior to delivery and installation phases of projects.

LEL have a vast knowledge and experience working on electric overhead travelling cranes, preparation of lift plans and undertaking highly critical lifting and slinging operations to all forms of industry. In addition, we have experience working with steam, hydrostatic, compressed air and pneumatic systems, undertaking maintenance activities to cover both planned and preventative maintenance. Our services include but are not limited to: pump/valve maintenance and repair, gearbox inspections and pressure system inspections including written schemes of examination for compliance with the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000. If we are unable to facilitate your requirements directly, we are able to offer precision machining/turning, milling and boring for equipment refurbishment/repair and even manufacture through our local support network.

LEL have increased our staff by 45% in the last two years demonstrating our commitment to supporting the local community by offering employment and training opportunities including the recruitment of a number of apprentices to ensure continuity of our highly skilled teams. The company are fiercely committed to supporting the local communities through sponsorship including support for ex-military personnel through the Armed Forces Covenant by direct employment and financial support for local accommodation facilities.
